This quest came in with 14.5 and involves killing copious amounts of Omni-Tek employees and delivering their Dog Tags to Commander Brock just outside Tir.

This is a recurring quest that has five stages each being a step harder and yielding a better reward, much in the way that Dodga's quest is in stage. Just like the Dodga quest you can't jump to one of the later steps t get the reward you have to do all the donkey work and trawl through the quests. Most of the lower level mobs needed can be found in lower level outdoor areas so you can go back and do them with your higher level characters.
High Commander Brock, who is standing in the outpost SE of Tir in Tir County (2860, 740), hands out the Ring of Tir quests.

You will find him hiding away behind a long dark gray building that is surrounded on three side by a wall.


There are 5 Rings of Tir. You can get them in this order:

• Watcher of Tir Ring
• Sergeant of Tir Ring
• Captain of Tir Ring
• Commander of Tir Ring
• High Commander of Tir Ring

One note before describing the quests in detail because it's a general note about the mobs that you'll hunt in all the quests. The mobs needed must be named 'OT' (i.e. Fresh OT Hunter, Veteran OT Hunter etc.) and not just be the normal variety (i.e. Fresh Hunter). The normal versions will not yield the dog-tags.

Whilst this isn't a problem with the lower level missions as the mobs can be found in outdoor camps, the higher level mobs need to be found in missions. In order to increase the chance of human type mobs in missions remember to set your 'order / chaos' setting when selecting missions to 100% order, its not a cast iron guarantee, but it helps.

Quest One: Watcher of Tir Ring

Target Brock and Say 'Nice Ring'. There will be a line of text as he looks you up and down. He will then ask you if you have a ring already and you say 'I have no ring'.

One note is that if someone else distracts Brock or starts the quest themselves he may lose pace with you and you'll have to start over. You get an empty Dog-Tag Bag and a mission icon. Your objective is to hunt Fresh OT and Amateur OT mobs for Grunt Dog-Tags. If you find such a Dog-Tag, put it into the Dog-Tag bag by shift-right clicking with it on the bag.
Fresh and Amateur OT mobs can be found in several locations, SE of Tir and round the edges of Newland lake are probably the easiest. Lower level characters can try to get missions around ql1-10.
When you have filled the bag with 10 Grunt Dog-Tags, it will be full. Trade the full bag to Brock and he will give you this:

Quest Two: Sergeant of Tir Ring

Right click with the "Watcher of Tir Ring" on Brock, he will ask you if you want more information about the second ring, target him and say. This sometimes seems not to work, if so you can trade Brock the ring you have, and he should return it saying that he didn't need to have it. One warning here is that some people have reported the ring disappearing at this stage.
Target Brock and say 'Second Ring'. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Rookie OT mobs, tell him 'I will hunt Rookies'.
You will get another dog-tag bag and a new mission icon. Fill the bag with 10 Rookie Dog-Tags.

The highest concentration of Rookie OT mobs can be found in a big area between the main road and Omni base in Varmint Woods (the center of that huge area is at around 3800,1600) or get missions from ql30-60.

Trade the full bag to Brock and he will give you this:

Sergeant of Tir Ring

Quest Three: Captain of Tir Ring

Right click with the "Sergeant of Tir Ring" on Brock, he will ask you if you want more information about the third ring, target him and say 'Third ring'. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Seasoned OT mobs, tell him 'I will hunt Seasoned'.

You will get a dog-tag bag and a new mission icon. Fill the bag with 10 Regular Dog-Tags.

The best way to go from here is missions, Seasoned OT mobs can appear in missions around ql80-170, the best range to get them is around 110-140.

Quest Four: Commander of Tir Ring

Right click with the "Captain of Tir Ring" on Brock, he will ask you if you want more information about the fourth ring, target him and say 'Fourth Ring'. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Veteran OT mobs, tell him 'I will hunt Veterans'.

You will get a dog-tag bag and a new mission icon. Fill the bag with 10 Elite Dog-Tags.

You can find Veteran OT mobs in missions ranging from around ql140-200, the best chance to get mostly Veterans is around ql180-190.

Quest Five: High Commander of Tir Ring

Right click with the "Commander of Tir Ring" on Brock, he will ask you if you want more information about the fifth and last ring, target him and say 'Fifth Ring'. He will ask you if you are ready to hunt down Ace OT mobs, tell him 'I will hunt Aces'.
You will get a dog-tag bag and a new mission icon. Fill the bag with 10 Commander Dog-Tags.
You can find Ace OT mobs in missions ranging from around ql190-250, the best chance to get many Aces that are not too hard to kill is around ql196-200.
